How to configure your Yola mailbox

After creating your mailbox, you get to the Mailbox configuration page, where you can manage aliases, change the mailbox password, delete the existing mailbox, or add more mailboxes.

Managing aliases 

An email alias is an email address that forwards an email to a single mailbox. For example, you can have "info@yourdomain.com" and "support@yourdomain.com" that are forwarded to one mailbox. Email aliases are considered the best way to protect the privacy of your primary email address or primary email account. 

With Yola, you can create as many aliases for a single mailbox as you like. 

To create an alias for your mailbox, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Email page after logging into your Yola account.

  2. Find the Manage aliases tab and expand it.

  3. Type in your alias in the corresponding field.

  4. Click Add alias

Now, all emails sent to that email alias address will be received in your primary mailbox.

Change your mailbox password

Make sure you create a reliable email password. Its length must be between 6 and 54 characters consisting of alpha and numeric characters (a to z, A to Z, 0 to 9). It may include the following special characters: ~ ! @ $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + / \ ] [ { } : ; > < , . ' | ? #. 

To change your mailbox password, follow these steps: 

  1. Go to the Email page after logging into your Yola account.

  2. Find the Change mailbox password tab and expand it.

  3. Type your new password in both fields.

  4. Click Change password to save.

Now you can check your inbox using your new password. Click the Check inbox button or the Mailbox link to get to your mailbox right away.

Deleting your mailbox

If you want to delete your mailbox, here’s what you need to do: 

  1. Go to the Email page after logging into your Yola account.How-to-configure-your-Yola-mailbox-2.png
  2. Find the Delete mailbox tab and expand it.

  3. Type DELETE in the field.

  4. Click Delete mailbox.

Adding another mailbox

  1. Go to your Email page after logging into your Yola account.

  2. Click Get an additional mailbox.

  3. Follow the steps to purchase a new mailbox, following the same steps as on activating Yola Mail.

Note: The fields to enter new mailbox credentials appear below the existing mailboxes. Any new mailboxes you purchase will also have unlimited aliases.
