You can add a link that allows sending an email from the website page. This link activates the default mail client on the computer for sending an email. Now your visitors don’t have to go to the Contact page to send an email, they can simply click and send an email to you from anywhere on your site.
Important: The web browser requires a default email client software installed on your visitor’s computer in order to activate the email client. This could be Gmail, Apple Mail, etc. For example, if your visitor has Microsoft Outlook as a default mail client, pressing a Send email link will open a new mail window.
Adding a text link to send email
On your website page, navigate to the area where you want to insert the Send email link. Highlight the text to which you want to add a link to activate the menu.
Press the “chain” Link icon to open a Link settings menu. In the drop down Click action menu, choose the option to Send an email:
Enter the email address where you want to receive visitors’ emails:
Once done customizing link settings, click Submit. Your text will look like this:
Publish your site to make the changes live. Now, when your visitors click the link, a mail client window, such as Gmail, will open:
Adding a link to an image
If you want your visitors to send you emails by clicking the image, you can easily make it happen.
Navigate to the image you want to add a link to. If the image can be assigned a link, the Edit image button will appear.
Right-click or long-tap on the image to activate a menu. Choose the option Set a click action:
In the dropdown menu, choose the option Send an email:
Enter the email address where you want to receive users’ emails and click Submit.
Publish your site to make the changes live.
Changing the email address
If you want visitors to send emails to a different address, you can change it in just a few clicks. Here’s how:
- Hover over the link that leads to the email. Click the “chain” Edit link icon.
- Enter the new email address:
- If you want to completely delete the Send email link, click the Delete link.
- Click Submit to confirm the changes.
- Publish your site to make the changes live.
