Building your forms

You can customize your form fields in the Form settings menu. To access it, hover over a form to trigger a control menu and click on the "mailbox" Form settings icon:

Accessing form field settings

To access form settings, hover over any field and click on the "gear" Settings icon.

Customizing the name

In these settings, you can change the following settings:

  • Type: Single-line cell or multi-line cell
  • Label: How do you want this field to appear in the form
  • Placeholder: What should the user see inside the field, e.g. Enter your name
  • Make required: Check this box if this is a required field

Tip: Visitors will not be able to submit a form without filling out a required field.

 

Customizing the email field

In these settings, you can change the following settings:

  • Label: How do you want this field to appear in the form
  • Placeholder: What should the user see inside the field, e.g. Enter your email address
  • Make required: Check this box if this is a required field

Note: this is a single-line entry by default.

Customizing the message field

In these settings, you can change the following settings:

  • Type: Single-line cell or multi-line cell
  • Label: How do you want this field to appear in the form
  • Placeholder: What should the user see inside the field, e.g. Leave message here
  • Make required: Check this box if this is a required field

Tip: You cannot delete the Email field. Only Name and Message fields can be deleted.

 

Adding a new form field

To add a new field, click on the round + button:

The New Item window will appear.

Enter your field type (single or multi-line), a new field label, a placeholder, and choose whether this is a required field or not.

Click Submit once you are done. The new field will appear in the list of fields.

 

Changing the order of fields in the form

You can change the order of items in the form by grabbing a "stacked line" handle next to the form title in the list and drag it up or down depending where you want the field to appear.

Form fields will be adjusted automatically.

 

Deleting form fields

To delete a form field, hover your cursor over the field you want to delete and click on the “trash” Delete icon:

 Note: The Email field cannot be deleted, as without it your form will not function.

 

Setting up form recipients

To add email addresses that will receive form submissions, follow these steps:

1. Click on the Advanced tab in the Form settings window.

2. Enter the email address that will collect form submissions in the field. When a confirmation drop-down menu appears, click on Create option... with the email address. The email will be added.

3. To remove an email address that will no longer receive form submissions, click on the cross icon next to that email address in the field.

4. Click Submit once you are done entering or deleting emails.

 

Setting up a success message

To customize the message your visitors receive after submitting their form, follow these steps:

1. In Form settings, go to the Advanced tab.

2. In Success message, enter your text, for instance, thanking visitors for their feedback or providing other instructions.

3. Click Submit once you are finished and happy with the result.

 

Requesting data sharing consent

To comply with data privacy (GDPR) regulations, you may want to enforce the visitors to agree to your Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Here's how to proceed:

1. In Form settings, go to the Advanced tab.

2. Scroll down to the GDPR consent area. Add a checkbox if you want to enable the notification:

3. Click Submit. Now your users will see a GDPR-compliant notice in your form:
