Once you’ve signed up, you will be taken to the Site Setup Wizard, our onboarding helper. It is designed to simplify your setup process and help you focus on customizing your website.
At the first step, you can specify a category or niche for your site. This helps tailor the suggestions to fit your business better. Choose one of the examples or start typing the kind of website you want to create.
Note: If your website is of a rare niche, and you can’t find the exact match in the list, you can opt out of this step by clicking Skip at the top right corner of the screen.
Once you are done, click Continue.
Next, you’ll see three different ways to create your website. Explore the options outlined below and choose the one that best matches your workflow and goals.
Generating a website with AI
Best for: beginners, time-strapped users, or anyone who wants to get online fast without much manual setup.
The option Generate your website in seconds is the quickest and easiest way to launch your site. The AI-powered setup guides you through a simple six-step process, asking for key information about your business. Based on your input, it automatically generates a fully structured and personalized website in just seconds. You can always tweak the design and refine the content of your website later to make it perfect.

Building a website with a template
Best for: users who want a professionally designed layout to build upon.
To get started with a template, you'll go through a four-step process that helps you pick from designer-made templates tailored to different industries and goals. The option Start with a template is a great choice if you want your site to look polished right away, but still require the flexibility to customize the layout, colors, and content to match your brand. You’ll get a strong visual starting point without the need to build everything from zero.

Creating a website from scratch
Best for: experienced users, creatives, or anyone who wants full control over their website’s design and structure.
The option Start from scratch gives you a completely blank page to work with. You’ll be starting with no predefined layout or content, which means you can build your site exactly the way you envision it, as every page, every block, and every detail is up to you. It’s perfect for those who have a clear design in mind or want to experiment with a custom structure from the ground up.

Note: Even if you opt for building your site manually, you can still take advantage of the AI feature for generating pages and any textual content.
Sitebuilder for mobile
You can build your website on any device, such as a smartphone or a tablet, and you do not need a specific app for this. Start by opening your Yola account on your device’s browser, and you will access the Sitebuilder from your Dashboard.
