Adding copyright information

The copyright notice at the bottom of your website pages visibly proclaims that all the site or page's material and contents cannot be used without the permission of the owner.

Why do you need a copyright notice?

The purpose of such notice is to avoid a situation where an infringer takes your work but then claims that he or she was completely unaware that it was protected.

Where to find the copyright notice

The copyright information has already been set up in the footer. You can find it under the Footer block.

The copyright date includes the year when the content was first created and published on the website. It is common practice to use copyright notice that includes both the original creation date and the most recent date in which content was added or modified.

Yola cares about the intellectual property of our users. Including a copyright notice on the website serves as a visible reminder to site visitors that the work and content displayed on the website is an intellectual property of our users.

The footer is a good place to put it because it appears on every page. It is auto-populated to protect the copyright of users who may forget to add it manually.
