How to write a good meta description

When writing meta descriptions, try to keep it around 150 characters because Google usually truncates snippets that are longer than 160 characters.

Search engines are more likely to show the meta description in search results, more often, when the searched-for phrase is within the description. So you need to think about the content of the page and summarize it in the copy.

Include your most important keywords and key phrases, but keep it sounding natural, without keyword stuffing. If the search keyword matches a part of the text in the meta description, the search engine will be more inclined to use it and highlight it in the search results. This will make the link to your site even more inviting.

Even though your meta description is only 1-2 sentences long, it's worth including calls to action and invitations like Learn more, Get it now, Try for free

Make sure to create unique, compelling, engaging meta descriptions, and with time, you will enjoy more traffic from search engines.
