It's easy to implement a feature-rich footer in our Sitebuilder. Your footer can display a lot of useful information for your visitors including additional navigation, your logo, as well as contact and copyright information.
Note: it is only possible to have one Footer block per page.
Adding the Footer block
If you are building your page from a template, you will already have the Footer block added at the bottom of the page. If you are building the page from scratch, click on the "plus" Add a block button and navigate to the Footer area in the Block Library:
Click on the Footer block and it will be added to the bottom of your page. It’s time to start customizing it!
Customizing the Footer block
You can modify the following elements of the Footer block:
- Business logo
- Site name
- Business description
- Business address
- Business phone
- Business email
- Business social profiles (how to add social media profiles)
- Footer navigation
Hover over the footer to activate the control panel and then click Block settings:
Here you can enable/disable Footer block elements:
Uncheck any of the elements you don’t want to have in the footer and the design will automatically update.
Once done customizing the settings, click Save.
You can add and customize your site logo in the Header block or in the Footer block. Here is to edit it in the footer:
- Click on the logo to activate the control panel, and then click the "picture" icon:
- Locate the new image on your computer and click Open.
- Your logo will be updated throughout the website.
Note: Your logo colors will not change if you apply a new custom color palette.
You can add and modify a navigation menu in the Footer block. To edit and hyperlink the navigation menu items, click on them:
In the List settings menu, you can modify any navigation menu item. Click Settings to add a link to the navigation menu item or change its title. For more details, visit this tutorial:

If you want to expand your footer even further, click on the round plus button to add a link:
Using a copyright notice may help you to prevent infringements. A copyright notice contains three elements:
- The copyright symbol ©
- If the website is published, the year of publication.
- Your site name
You can customize your site name in the copyright information by simply clicking on it. Yet, please note that this way, you will also change the visible site name in the Header block, while your actual site name (the one you see in your site settings) will remain the same.
Note: the copyright notice cannot be removed. We care about the intellectual property of those who use our Sitebuilder to create their websites. Including a copyright notice on a site serves as a visible reminder to site visitors that the work and content displayed there is an intellectual property of the site owner.
Removing Yola-branded footer
If you have a Yola Free or Yola Bronze subscription, a Yola-branded footer is automatically added to your site. If you are willing to remove it and make a site completely your own, this can be done very quickly when you upgrade to the Yola Silver or Yola Gold. Here's how you can do this:
- Click on the Delete icon that appears when you hover over the Yola-branded footer.
- You will be prompted to Upgrade. Complete the steps required to upgrade your website plan. You should notice now that the footer has disappeared.
- Click the Publish button to make the changes visible online.
